CMAC acquires Ontraccs, its fourth acquisition in three years. It expands into Heathrow Airport to support missed-flight connection services to airlines and ground handling organisations.

CMAC garners yet more accolades, including ‘Most Effective Recovery of the Year’ CIR Magazine Business Continuity Awards.

CMAC clocks another win at the CIR awards for an entry following the Thomas Cook collapse in 2019, where CMAC provided 1,150 coaches and 916 taxis to move over 40,000 passengers. This became the largest ever peacetime repatriation of UK citizens.

With over 50 years of combined experience in the coach hire industry, CMAC’s founders had a keen eye for new opportunities. In 2006, they saw a gap in the market. When businesses needed to transport their teams at short notice, they had limited options, resulting in significant delays and loss of business.

The founders of CMAC sought to rectify that issue. Their ambition was to streamline that point of contact for coach, taxi and hotel operators on behalf of businesses — especially those who needed to move in large volumes within one hour of a phone call.
