CMAC Group has been awarded the Taxi Booking Management Service (Aggregator) contract by Transport for Wales (TfW).
Following a competitive tender, CMAC will act as the central platform connecting TfW with taxi and private-hire operators across its network from 1 November 2026. CMAC already operates across Wales in the rail, aviation, public, and private sectors.
The new contract will simplify the way journeys are booked and managed across the network through a single platform. CMAC's technology will also give TfW greater visibility over journeys, while its supplier network means the right transport can be sourced when and where it is needed.
The partnership with TfW creates new opportunities for local transport providers, connecting Welsh SME and micro-operators with national-scale work as well as supporting local jobs and firms. To oversee day-to-day delivery, CMAC is appointing a Wales-based contract manager.
All directly employed CMAC staff will also have access to free Welsh language learning throughout the contract term, and CMAC's customer booking portal and app will be available in Welsh before becoming operational, in line with TfW's Welsh Language Standards.
